There are 11 original songs on the new CD written by the duet and recorded in August 2014 and released at the beginning of 2015. The songs are inspired by the roots of jazz; including lullaby, ethnic music, blues and Latin roots. Several of the compositions are rooted in Greek folk music, as both musicians are from Cyprus.

Each song tells its own story, starting with the salsa-based, upbeat and exciting ‘Friday Night’, describing a wild night out partying with a lover and friends. ‘Marinos’ Blues’ is the story of someone hardworking, struggling to survive each day and provide for their family. The lyrics were written during a time of recession in Cyprus, when families were made bankrupt, parents lost their jobs, and the future seemed dark. The blues as a genre is one of the roots of jazz.
